Applied for MAAD Oct 2011

At the last MAAD, I met some students from NTU. I started talking to them after they took photos of my flowers with their huge DSLR's. They are studying art in NTU and their final year project includes making 3 things to sell in MAAD Oct. Most are photography art students and so had a hard time thinking of what to make as the item is required to be 3D. I suggested pop-up cards as I remembered one using photos of tomatoes. When opened it seems the tomatoes jumped right out at you. The one below looks do-able too.

Applications for Oct MAAD started today and I applied again. Glad I have more time to prepare this time. Beside making more flowers, also on my list are more professional namecards. Last MAAD, I printed my logo on photo paper and hand-cut them into oval shapes the night before. I used a DIY letter printing set to stamp my email and name behind. It was quite a last minute effort but they did screamed hand-made which I thought was quite endearing. But would like more professional cards this time.

Wish me luck as I'd be travelling from Monday till the end of the month.
